EVOH was developed by the American Monsanto Company in the 1970s, and its good oxygen barrier properties are extremely important to prolong the shelf life of food. EVOH is extremely impermeable to drying gases and aromas. EVOH with lower ethylene content has three major advantages: 1) Used as a coating material, its barrier property is 3-20 times higher than that of PVDC; 2) Its co-extruded material has 15-60 times higher barrier properties than PVDC; 3) Impermeability The property is 75-100 times higher than that of acrylonitrile copolymer.
